Survive the illness โ protect your finances
Critical illness insurance provides a lump sum payment if you suffer a covered critical illness and the survival period is satisfied. The physical and emotional strain of a serious illness can be severe, and combined with the financial impact, the result can be devastating.
That’s where the critical illness benefit comes in. You’re free to spend the money as you wish:
- Cover lost income while you recover
- Pay for private nursing or out-of-country treatment
- Buy medical equipment
- Pay off your mortgage
Plenty of choice
Like life insurance, there’s a wide choice of plans โ Term 10, Term 20, Term to 75 or Permanent โ and you can add return-of-premium options. Many insurers offer pay-to-100 or 15-pay permanent plans.
Buy it young. The key is to have a policy. Even if you start with Term 10 today, it can usually be upgraded to permanent later. Insurers require you to be in good health at issue โ it’s hard to get this coverage once health issues appear.
Is this right for you?
- Working adults whose family relies on their income
- Business owners and self-employed people
- Anyone with a family history of serious illness
